CONSULTATION ON PROPOSALS

Please find here the Heritage Statement and other supporting documents together with the model views and drawings. (technical items dealing with sound and daylight will be added as they become available).

The PROPOSALS are the drawings; follows the HERITAGE STATEMENT by Architectural History Practice and then a table of floor areas.

    I think it’s great that, in what is a very arty area, creative ways are being found to combine commercial and residential space. As someone who works here, I like this about Shoreditch; it gives the place an innovative feel. Makes it an inspiring place to work.

    Looks pretty to me. This is a hot area and we need more discrete development without destroying the character.

  4. Having moved into the area in 1988 we’ve seen much change, this type of innovative and creative scheme is just the sort of thing which is needed to help the area evolve. It enables old buildings to take on a new lease of life and adds vibrancy and style – will be delighted to see this happen

    I think this project encapsulates in a building the definition of what makes London the most successful city on the world. That being the successful integration of old and new.

    In many respects London is one of the most progressive, modernistic cities in the world having been continually built upon a 2000+ year old history. It is this heady mix of old and new that makes this city great.

    This building, with its modern additions to an older historic architecture, is a perfect expression of this spirit
